I love Arioch; he's so amoral and delightful. Please subject Elric to him, in whatever form that takes. I particularly like the tension over Elric's loyalty, where he is very dependent on Arioch but not enthusiastic in his loyalty, while Arioch finds him amusing to toy with. I’d love to see Arioch bring his power to bear on Elric, whether as a reward or a punishment or just for his own amusement. I will never be over the fact that Arioch canonically calls him “surely the sweetest of all my slaves” and Elric is constantly describing Arioch as beautiful even when he's otherwise all business. I am very into Arioch forcing Elric to admit who he belongs to or otherwise perform loyalty, particularly in a public setting or in front of Elric's allies. However, I also love seeing that get flipped on Arioch, and leaving him at Elric’s mercy.

I don’t know that either Elric or Arioch particularly see Elric’s consent as a thing that matters, but I’d equally love this with reluctant consent, coerced consent, or a complete lack of consent. Is Elric just taking it in stride, or is there something about this particular scenario that makes him put up a fight he knows is useless? (I think the latter is particularly relevant to Arioch making Elric xcon someone, but I’d also love to see it as the result of a particular act or context.)

Ah, this fucked up incestuous love triangle. Yyrkoon’s seething jealousy towards Elric for being the object of Cymoril’s affections feels like it could very easily overflow the bounds and wind up with him sexually fixated on both of them (and I think in a universe where Elric has at any point occupied the category of “female” in Yyrkoon’s mind, it has). Cymoril still seems to love her brother, despite her lack of sexual interest in him, up until the kidnapping, while Elric is in the middle between them (particularly post-getting Stormbringer when he begins to see Yyrkoon as a kindred spirit). While I think Cymoril doesn’t want to upset either of them, I don’t think consent particularly matters to any of them (except perhaps Elric a bit, on an intellectual level). I’d love to see the many places that could take them.

Aredhel & Celegorm xcon Eöl

I would love to see Aredhel and Celegorm work together to xcon Eol as revenge for what he’s done to Aredhel. I love Aredhel as a woman who is simultaneously morally compromised (kinslaying) and sympathetic (everything else); I’d love to see some of the former here. This isn’t a moral or even socially permissible decision, but it’s one she finally has the agency to make and enact.

This probably makes the most sense post-fleeing Nan Elmoth, but I’m fine with that happening earlier or later than it does in canon. I’m equally in favor of Aredhel and Celegorm being in sync as Celegorm overreaching in trying to protect Aredhel. I’d prefer if Aredhel and Celegorm were fairly merciless in their ability to go through with this (even if they’re not necessarily physically violent) and convinced of the righteousness of their actions.

How planned is it by Aredhel and/or Celegorm? Did they seek Eol out, or does this happen after he chases after her?

For the “victim believes that xcon will kill them” freeform, I think it’d be really interesting if one of the reasons why Eol thinks this is because it therefore means whatever he did to Aredhel wasn’t bad enough to “count.” (It’s up to you whether Eol dies, but if he does, I’d prefer if it wasn’t purely because of the xcon.)

Maeglin can be as present as you’d like him to be. (I think him observing and not participating would be a neat parallel to Maeglin “standing by and saying nothing” when Eol is killed in Gondolin, but he also does not have to be here at all.)

DNW: Elves having a legal/cultural mechanism for divorce (but permanent separation is very welcome!).

Celebrimbor and Sauron

This is my ultimate “The love was there. It didn't change anything. It didn't save anyone. But the love was there” pairing because the love being there makes things feel so much worse. I love interpretations where whatever exists between them is (wildly unexpectedly for Sauron, who thinks feelings are for other people) genuine and affectionate, and then Sauron still goes through with choosing power anyway! However, there always is the fundamental issue that Sauron cannot be honest about who he is (and isn’t willing to try). I’d very much prefer to see something set prior to the reveal of Sauron’s identity, because I love identity porn and the complications of deliberately shaping yourself into someone else.

For Celebrimbor xconning Sauron, I’d love to see Sauron smacking face-first into his limitations. If he runs into something he doesn’t like for reasons that are tied to his experiences as Sauron and don’t make sense for the cover story he’s laid out for Annatar, I think he’d end up going through with letting himself be xconned, particularly in the context of an already-established relationship. (I think this works particularly for the “thin line between kink and trigger” freeform if Sauron is not telling Celebrimbor that [x thing] has the potential to be upsetting to him, because he feels like his options are temporary suffering or fucking up his long terms plans, and Celebrimbor’s going to be upset the longer he waits to pick option two anyways.)

For mxcon, I would love to see something before they’ve acted on (or admitted) their feelings. I like when Celebrimbor first and foremost likes Annatar as a person, mask-slips and all, in a deep and ill-advised way. The magical item freeform lends itself to ring experimentation, but feel free to take it wherever you’d like! For the “mxcon for different reasons,” options could include both of them getting sex pollened (or what have you) and Sauron lying about the extent to which it affects him, or something with particular emphasis on how much Celebrimbor would not be consenting to this relationship if he knew who Sauron actually was. (I also like a Sauron who is embarrassed at how much he likes being treated gently/like a precious object during sex because it's ruining his fearsome reputation, if that’s something you wanted to run with for the non-negotiated kink.)

Dom Celebrimbor is mildly preferred for both scenarios, but I don’t have a preference for who tops.

Any genitals are welcome for Sauron, as is him being any gender of nonbinary or a man On Purpose, though YMMV on if the latter is (narratively or on a character level) transness or not.

This is one where I want to put them into a jar and shake them. Does the xcon happen when they’re in Nargothrond? Post-Nargothrond and -estrangement? I tend towards thinking that Curufin was a decent father except when it came to the Silmarils, and it’s Celebrimbor seeing that they’re willing to get (more) family killed which causes him to go, because he doesn’t after the first kinslaying.

I’d love if this was fucked up and uncomfortable and desperate, and particularly if politics (whether Nargothrond ones, Noldor ones, or family ones) are unfixably mixed with it. Is Celebrimbor an intended target of the xcon or simply a casualty of whichever character wanting to punish Curufin? If Curufin is trying to soothe Celebrimbor during it (which, like, is he?), is it in the same way he soothed him as a kid? I would love a zest of horror (as in the emotion, not necessarily the genre), even if one or both of them actually is getting off on it.

(Some options for ‘any’ here, if that’s helpful: various residents of Nargothrond, (an)other son(s) of Feanor, Sauron, the Valar, the Silmarils, non-sentient magic/plant/etc.)

I am so intrigued by them! They’re all well-matched enough to kill each other (and there’s so much history and pre-existing obsession between them and Dior’s parents, which I imagine Dior certainly feels heavily). I'd love something where the xcon is an extension of politics and the tension between the Noldor and the Sindar, as well as something personal.

For Celegorm and Curufin as the aggressors, I’d love to see them continue their quest for Luthien by settling for her son. For Dior as the aggressor, I’d really just love to see him get the upper hand and choose to make them squirm with it. This can be a temporary thing during the kinslaying or a more long-term AU.

I’m also very open to a post-canon fourth age Valinor setting, where they’ve all been re-embodied and have proceeded to handle that in a kinda disturbing way. (I’d prefer things to be on a more even/less distressing ground in this particular time period, where everyone is into it to at least some degree.)

Fëanor xcons Míriel Þerindë

I would like to see Feanor xcon his mother’s corpse. I would prefer if Feanor and Miriel did not directly interact (ie. this is not an AU where she didn’t die, so Miriel is not in her actual physical body), but can be as aware of the situation as you would like. Perhaps she’s weaving records of this? I’ve requested both the somnophilia and necrophilia freeforms because I do not have a preference for which state Miriel’s empty body leans towards.

I’d love to see either the start of this or once it’s really escalated. I imagine Feanor was brought to visit Miriel’s resting place at least once as a child; did she stick in his mind as something perfect and unchanging? Particularly in contrast to Indis, she’s a very stable (non)presence in Feanor’s life. If her body still responds to stimulation (sexual and nonsexual, like her head turning when her hair is tugged), is this a way for Feanor to get attention from her? I would love to see wires getting crossed during puberty and innocent curiosity/desire to know her becoming a lot less innocent. How does he justify it to himself?

Regarding the birth tag, as many of Feanor’s sons as you’d like can be Miriel’s sons as well. (Is Nerdanel still in the picture at this point? Or is it a scenario where Feanor went “I want my mother at home with me” when he moved out and Finwe or whoever thought it was kind of fucked up but said sure?) I would love Sun, Moon, and Talia (Sleeping Beauty tale where she gives birth while still asleep) vibes for this tag in particular, if you’re inclined to write them.

For this pairing, the under-16 DNW is waived; Feanor only needs to be at least pubescent. I’d prefer if a specific number was not given for his age.

I would love to see this at any point in the timeline! If pre-canon, is it a test to see if Celegorm is deserving of ownership? If during canon, perhaps Huan and Celegorm get captured by the enemy and tormented? If post-canon, is it part of Celegorm’s punishment?

I’d prefer Huan to have the sapience level of a person and some form of communication with Celegorm (whether that’s osanwe, dog-speech, or purely gestural), even if no other non-Ainur around them can communicate with him. How reciprocated is Huan’s loyalty to Celegorm?

Same-Generation Mxcon

Celegorm and Curufin: They are playing “I’m not touching you” with the line of what ‘counts’ as incest, I feel. What finally pushes them over the edge? I am intrigued by how they function as a tight-knit unit from essentially the beginning; we consistently hear them described together and as living on each other’s lands. They also both seem willing to own up to what they’re willing to do for the Oath much sooner than their other siblings (even the ones who will go on to commit the third one after C&C are dead). Is that loyalty ever tested? I’m interested in really any era for them (Years of the Trees, early First Age, Nargothrond, post-Nargothrond pre-Doriath, post-death Valinor) and any tone that feels appropriate.

Curufin and Finrod: I like these two as cousins who were not necessarily close before the war intervened, and I also love Finrod as simultaneously honorable and deeply politically savvy. How accurate is the narrator of the Silmarillion about what’s happening politically in Nargothrond prior to the quest? (Years of the Trees-era Curufin/Finrod is also welcome, I just have less of an idea of what it looks like!)

Maedhros and Maglor: I think they’re playing a similar game as Celegorm and Curufin but it’s miserable and weirdly tied up with duty, at least once they're several kinslayings in. They have the potential to be gothic as fuck. They're the last two of Feanor's sons standing and I imagine that cannot have done great things for their relationship. I love the potential collapse of identity here, where it's hard to tell what they are to each other in part because all the people who used to play other roles (father, companion, wife, mother, friend, etc.) are all dead. That said, I would also love to see a lighter version of them in Valinor! (Either before or after death.) Is the mxcon an additional stressor, or is it something which allows them to actually relax for a minute?

The Vourdalak

Gorcha makes Piotr & Sdenka mxcon

If you aren’t familiar with the canon, this is a horror movie about an 18th century Frenchman who stumbles into some very tense family dynamics in rural Eastern Europe, which are only exacerbated once the patriarch, Gorcha, returns home as a vourdalak (a family-eating vampire). Piotr and Sdenka are his disappointing children — Piotr is transfeminine while Sdenka attempted to elope with an unsuitable man (who Gorcha then murdered).

I would love to see this situation get even more fucked. The scene where the Frenchman with too many names and Sdenka are dancing for Gorcha is so tense, and I think it’s a place that would work really well for Gorcha to reassert his ownership over his kids by forcing them to xcon each other. That said, I would also love to see this pre-canon (perhaps as a response to Sdenka’s transgression?), or in a post-canon AU where the house isn’t set on fire.

I do see Piotr as a trans woman, but am fine with Piotr being anything except a cisgender heterosexual man. (If you do write Piotr as transfem, he/him pronouns à la canon are fine, particularly if another character is narrating.) I’d love to see Gorcha humiliate Sdenka and Piotr as failing at being a daughter/son respectively, either by making them emulate ideal man/womanhood or by making Sdenka ride while Piotr “crossdresses.” (Piotr’s earrings make me feel things, especially since they seem to be borrowed from/gifted by Sdenka.) I would particularly adore PIV sex for this, though if you feel another act works better, go for it.

Any of the adult characters are welcome to be in the room while this happens, though I’d prefer if Vlad (the child) wasn’t. In particular, I’d like to see Jegor’s (non-)awareness of it.
